Not sure if any of you use AdWords much but if so you may use the AdWords Editor. Its a pretty excellent tool for editing pay per click campaigns quickly.
Anyway while trying to install it recently on my Windows 7 machine I kept getting a 2739 error and wanted to shore how I fixed it since it was tricky to find information on the error for Windows 7 64-bit.
Here’s what you want to do:
- Open the CMD window as an administrator – To do this click the Windows button, then search ‘cmd’, then right click and select ‘Run as Administrator’.
- Next type ‘cd c:\windows\syswow64′ and press ENTER to change the directory.
- Now type ‘regsvr32 jscript.dll’ and hit ENTER
- Now type ‘regsvr32 vbscript.dll’ and hit ENTER
That should be it. Try the AdWords Editor install again and you should have no 2739 error.

Hi – is AE still working fine?
I am about to buy a 64-bit Win 7 PC and I want to make sure that AdWords Editor will work!!
Thanks,
